This center was founded as a non-religious, non-profit organization that strives to serve it’s visitors and simply better their life. There are Isha yoga centers all over the world and I encourage you to check one out locally, before you commit to staying at the ashram in India. They run several different programs and all are based on all the branches of yoga, well beyond just the asanas. It is a community where one can become a resident. One of the key aspects of the life transformation goals, is to serve others and to be socially responsible for your family and community. The setting of course is beautiful being just on the foothills of the Velliangiri Mountains with 150 acre property surrounded by lush green forest.
Type of yoga: Hata, no spelling error there. Hata yoga is about going well beyond the personal limitations we have placed on ourselves and believing that anything is possible, with ease. Hata yoga encompasses the entire path of yoga not just the physical.
