Description of the Retreat: A great mix of scheduled activities and free time this retreat is the perfect vacation to press that reset button your life is needing. Most meals are included but a few you are left to explore the local cuisine on your own, with the help of your travel liasons of course. What better way to explore a culture other than through it's food. Not only is this a yoga retreat with twice daily asana classes and a daily meditation, it's also a trip you can feel really really good about. Humanitarian aspect is that you participate in seva service (or Karma yoga) through an organization Help Us Help, where you support gainful employment of at risk locals and sex trade workers. I love that these two women are putting the dollars from this retreat back into the community that needs it.

Accommodations: Maghnia Hotel- a small locally managed hotel.

How long has the your company been running retreats? One year

Instructor name and bio:

Charlize Tomaselli
I started my yoga journey while living in Thailand. Yoga taught me how my body, mind and soul were all one thing, and how to use that combination to connect to the greater world around me. I completed my 200 hour teacher training in India in 2009. This was such a profound experience, living and breathing yoga 24 hours a day. I knew that this was going to be my life's journey at that point.

Monsoon Wellness began as an idea that grew into a reality when I returned to South Africa. I completed a Pilates instructors course in 2011 in order to add to my personal knowlege and to provide my clients with a greater variety of options.

I opened a yoga studio in Johannesburg in 2011 under Monsoon Yoga. After relocating to Durban in 2015 I decided to extend the brand to include other forms of health as Monsoon Wellness.

Teaching yoga is my greatest passion. As a teacher it is really important to me that I don't just instruct the people who come to my class, but rather that I pass on some form of knowledge and personal understanding. I have conduct continuous study of my trade through the attendence of workshops, events, trainings and self practice.

I have taught  in Thailand, Singapore,  India, Hungary and South Africa.

Since then Brynn has worked at various studios across Canada, and this past year began teaching at a men's prison in Toronto.Brynn enjoys learning all aspects of yoga and feels that yoga is never really something anyone anyone can truly master; it is a constant journey of self improvement and self realization.
